Shenandoah Valley-Herald:
Coffeehouse providing family-friendly entertainmentl

Each Saturday we read the Shenandoah Valley-Herald and this September was no different. One of our favorite sections is 'YesterYears' where the paper researches it's archives and prints articles from its 125+ year history. (It's a combination of two of Virginia's oldest newspapers!) We wondered who edits and put together those articles since we always find them very entertaining. It was that same Saturday that Susan came into the Filling Station and introduced herself as editor for the Shenandoah Valley-Herald (SVH)! Here is one of two items you can find in the SVH! (The other is below).

Shenandoah Valley-Herald:
inFocus

The SVH captures local events and the Filling Station is blessed to be included as one of them. For those that are interested in YesterYears or the infocus section and can't make it to the valley, let me know and we can pick up extra hard-copy editions for you each weekend.

Edinburg coffee shop invites patrons to...
come get your fill

There we were. Sitting in the shop on the 2nd Saturday we were open with just ourselves and our friend Jen. We started praying and asking God how to get more people in the door. Do we pass out flyers? Emails? Radio? Newspapers? All of it was going to take work and money. That's when Liz came in. She listened to our music and sharings. As we were preparing to close we asked her how she heard about us. That's when we found out she had seen our window sign and was here to set up a time to interview us for the newspaper. There was our advertising! Go God.
